Babylon 5 Fans Guide: Mike Helba A note from Mike Helba: "I was there at the Dawn of the Third Age of Mankind." I was one of the original Grid Epsilon Irregulars, the members of the GEnie online service who corresponded daily with Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski before he even began casting the pilot. Since those early days, I have avidly followed all aspects of the Babylon 5 phenomenon and Joe Straczynski's career. I became the About Guide to Babylon 5 in early 1999. The week my site went live, rumors broke about TNT's cancellation of Crusade before a single episode had even aired. This was not the way I wanted to start as a Guide! Regardless, I ran the site for two-and-a-half years. During that time I was able to present exclusive interviews, photos, and online chats with Babylon 5 actors and writers. I also built a comprehensive reference about the show and was fortunate to become part of a lively group of friends in the Babylon 5 Fans Forum. Still, there was no new Babylon 5 on television. Fast forward to September 2001. Babylon 5: The Legend of the Rangers will air on the Sci-Fi Channel in January 2002. Anticipation is mounting, and the site is growing. Unfortunately, this is when the Babylon 5 Fans site meets its end. Don't worry. My site will live on at Worlds of JMS. Most of the content from the Babylon 5 Fans site has relocated here, and I will add to it from time to time. The companion forum provides a venue to discuss the latest news and opinions. As the name implies, Worlds of JMS will cover all the works of J. Michael Straczynski including the Showtime series Jeremiah and the comic books Rising Stars, Midnight Nation, and Amazing Spider-Man. Frequent visitors to the Babylon 5 Fans site know that I always reported extensively on Straczynski's other projects, but now that focus is clearly defined in the name Worlds of JMS.
