Guide: Soma Das

A note from Soma:

I was the About Guide to Bengali Culture from May, 2000 to September 2001. The site was a tremendous hit among the Bengali community, especially those living outside India or Bangladesh. I guess the site was also lucrative from the point of view of advertising revenue. As far as content is concerned, it was comparable to the best websites in its category. But then About decided to shut it down!

At the moment I'm busy with my fulltime job as assistant editor at Scholastic India, in New Delhi. But, I plan to open my own site with similar content, and I've registered a domain called http://www.allbengal.com, after the name of my popular free weekly Newsletter. The site would also have a discussion forum and a chatroom. I'm looking for all sorts of assistance from anybody interesting in the topic.
