Guide: Melany Noltenius

A note from Melany:

I have been legally blind due to complications with diabetic retinopathy since October 1984. I lost my sight suddenly, and had to learn to deal with the emotional impact of being labeled handicapped. After ten years of experience promoting handicapped awareness to various organizations, I became the Blindness.about.com guide. Though, I was not the guide for long, I enjoyed corresponding with numerous people on a regular basis. Unfortunately, due to economic constraints, About.com, Inc. had to reduce the number of websites available to its' users, and my site was one of 300 chosen to be eliminated.

Currently, I am working with ZezeNetwork.com, and am responsible for the Do It Yourself Decorating website. Also, I am in the process of creating an East Tennessee site sponsored by ZezeNetwork. At this time I do not have a website for my Blindness articles and information.
