Guide: Peter Lathan

A note from Peter:

I've been involved with theatre since the age of 12 (46 years ago, but don't tell anyone!) and so, when what was then The Mining Company asked me, in February 1997, to run a site on British Theatre for them, I jumped at the chance.

That site lasted for four and a half years and became popular and, I like to think, quite highly regarded by the British theatre community. Then About pulled the plug and four and a half years of work (and a substantial proportion of my time during those years) went down the tubes. I was not a happy bunny and my first reaction was, "Right! Now I'll get a life off the Net." But things didn't work out that way, and now I'm back again, with a new site, The British Theatre Guide. It's the same site, but with a few extras.

To begin with, its pages are leaner, with no Javascript, animated gifs or other bells and whistles, so it downloads in seconds, even over a slow dial-up connection. I've also been able to make the navigation easier, because it's site-specific and doesn't have to work for 800 other sites too!

I hope that old friends from the About site, and new ones who didn't know about it, will drop in!
