note from Gary:
I was ABOUT's Disability Issues guide for 18 months prior to "The Day They
Cut ABOUT in Half."
Although I'm a person with a disability myself and knew there are unresolved
questions about access and accommodation, I was surprised at how quickly the
disability community responded when people became aware they had a voice on
the Internet. I know ABOUT did what the corporate powers thought best for
ABOUT, I'm saddened there is not a place somewhere above the bottom line for
people with disabilities as the company attempts to reconcile itself to the
evolution of information media.
