China for Visitors Guide: Kim M. Fong A note from Kim: Hi! This is just a quick note to let you know that my "China for Visitors" site was one of the 300 sites dropped from the About taxonomy in September of 2001. Although this was not totally unexpected, it was nevertheless quite a shock to many of us. I started with the Mining Co. back in May of 1998 as the Guide to "Canada News." After two years of covering the Canadian news scene, I needed a change of scenery and decided to take on the "China for Visitors" site -- which was my real true passion. I hosted the China for Visitors site at About.com from May 2000 to September 2001. Looking back, I really have no regrets. When I joined About, I had no real expectations. But it turned out to be a great learning experience for me and a very rewarding hobby. Over this time, I've learned a great deal from many of the wonderful Guides at About. The one thing that truly amazed me was the depth of knowledge and expertise of the Guides, and the passion and dedication they all shared. Of course, many of them now have a page here on Marco's site. With all the travel this year in my day-job (as an engineer for NAV CANADA), it has been a fairly hectic year. So, right now, I'm just going to enjoy a short break from the Internet world. But, as soon as I get a chance, I intend to re-establish my China travel site on a new domain. However, since I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to many of my friends and readers at About, I'm taking this opportunity to say "thanks!" to everyone who had supported me in the past. Many thanks to Marco as well for setting up this site. Come back here soon and check for a link to my NEW "China for Visitors" site.
