Because of my interest in and absolute passion for lodging and accommodations, I hosted the Hotels, Resorts, and Inns site at About.com from January of 1997 to September, 2001. It was a wonderful opportunity to explore the subject in great depth, and now that I have moved on, I have created new paths for my work.

Although nothing can remove my love for accommodation and lodging, I am enjoying being a travel generalist, writing about not only hotels and resorts, but cruises, destinations, spas, family travel, ecotourism and road trips.

I am grateful for my time at About.com, and grateful to all of the people whose enthusiasm, encouragement and support kept me going for almost five years. I look forward to our future “virtual visits” at NBC17.com, WNCN, Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, and I encourage everyone to visit me there, contribute, and share your voyages with me.
