Irish Culture

A note from Pat:

I have had a longtime interest in Ireland. Its history, music, and dance have entranced me for years. Over time I became an accomplished Irish genealogist as I searched out my family's roots. In Summer, 2000, I started out on the wonderful adventure of building an Irish Culture site on the About.com network. Over time the site took on a life of its own, visitors became regulars and the Forum thrived.

When About.com decided that it would discontinue the Irish Culture site, and all but one other Culture site, I decided that the work I had done and the original content I had developed was too valuable to let it fade away. I have established a new site called AllAboutIrish and opened a new forum, with the same name, on Delphi.

One advantage to operating a site independent of the About.com network is that I will have more flexibility in the information I can provide on the site, and will be able to offer other services to visitors that being in a large network made impossible. I look forward to welcoming those who enjoyed the former Irish Culture site, and new visitors, too, at AllAboutIrish.
