Guide: Lori Holuta

A note from Lori: I was the Guide to Lansing Michigan from early in 2000 until September 25th, 2001. Here's a bit from my bio:

Lori Holuta is a resident of the Lansing area. She enjoys exploring its neighborhoods, learning local history and working in her vegetable garden on a hot summer day.

Years ago when she moved to Lansing, Lori's neighbors took the time to show her the sights and why they are proud to live here. She's a fiercely loyal Spartan who works at Michigan State University. Her work has heightened her awareness of interactions between campus and the community. One of her first assignments was to help place volunteer students where they could do the most good and also enhance their own learning experience. She was amazed at the opportunities available for anyone who wants to help make Lansing a better place for all.

Lori majored in data processing at North Seattle Community College, back when that meant keypunch cards and imposing grey machinery. Since then, she doggedly chases technology as it moves ever forward. Working on campus helps her stay on the cutting edge of computers and Web culture.
