Mark Twain

Guide: Jim Zwick

A note from Jim:

I created the Mark Twain site back in December 1994 and ran it independently for several years before hooking up with About.com in 1997. With the closure of the Twain site at About.com in September 2001, the Twain materials were moved back to their original location. The Mark Twain site will now be run as a distinct section of my broader BoondocksNet.com site on literary, political and cultural history. At its new home, the site contains all of the information that was at the old About.com site plus many additional Twain texts, biographical and critical articles, and essays.

At BoondocksNet.com, the Mark Twain site is part of a much larger site that contains a wealth of information relevant to Mark Twain's life and writings. There are in-depth sites on historical graphics that include political cartoons and photographs of all the major wars and many of the prominent personalities of his lifetime. BoondocksNet.com also includes the Web's most in-depth resources on two organizations that Twain served as a vice president during his last ten years: the Anti-Imperialist League and the American Congo Reform Association. Besides Twain's writings and historical background, they contain many writings by his friends, including William Dean Howells, C. E. S. Wood, Andrew Carnegie, Carl Schurz, and Dan Beard among others.

Please visit the new site and take a look around at all the new resources available to everyone interested in Mark Twain.
